Hi, I’m Erika, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a journal nearby.

I started journaling as a way to cope with trauma. As a survivor of complex childhood trauma, I remember, even as a little kid, jotting down my thoughts on paper and finding moments of peace amidst the chaos and violence I faced daily.

Journaling taught me how to process emotions, uncover clarity, and connect with the part of me that always knew what I needed. As I began healing, growing, and exploring the philosophies of yoga and personal coaching, my journaling techniques naturally evolved.

Now, as an empowerment coach for survivors, I use guided journaling to support my clients between sessions. And while I’ve moved from traditional paper to digital, my commitment to journaling remains unwavering.
